Wedding & Function Information

  • PLANNING YOUR WEDDING & FUNCTION
    • When you have decided on a fixed date for your Wedding/Function, we will hold the booking for one month or for 24 hours if we receive any other enquiries for the same date. We will of course give you first refusal. A confirmation letter and a non refundable deposit of £1000.00 is required to secure your booking depending on the size of the numbers. One month prior to your wedding you will be invited to the Hotel to discuss final arrangements.

      If you do not take exclusive use of the Hotel and only require a daytime reception you would need to vacate the Hotel by 6.00pm.

  • ACCOMMODATION
    • We have 18 individual decorated en-suite bedrooms, which comprise of eight superiors and three standards in the main house. The coach house comprises of one superior, two family rooms and four standards rooms. Children can be accommodated in our superior rooms and coach house suites only. If a third adult shares a double room then a supplement will be charged of £40.00. All accommodation reserved by you the wedding organizer becomes your liability. Guests booking directly with the Hotel will be required to provide full credit card details in order to confirm their reservation. Please note that although the Hotel and grounds become exclusive use from midday, check in time for rooms are 3pm and check out time is 10.30am.

  • EXCLUSIVE USE
    • We can offer exclusive use of the entire Hotel, the exclusive use runs from 12 o'clock midday until 10.30am the following morning and includes all 18 bedrooms on bed and breakfast terms, based on two people sharing a double room, all public areas and grounds.

      The cost for this is £6,000.00.

  • MARQUEE: (Exclusive Use Guests Only)
    • We can cater for marquee weddings for up to 100 guests. The marquee will be placed on the back terrace adjoining the Hotel. The cost and the contract for the marquee will be the responsibility of the Bride and Groom. We would recommend:

  • EVENING RECEPTION: (Exclusive Use Guests Only)
    • We are unable to offer music in the marquee, but can accommodate a disco in the main Hotel.

      We offer a strict policy with regards to volume and noise levels (due to consideration to our neighbours) and all music must be finished by midnight. Last orders from the bar will be 12am. Non-resident guests must leave the Hotel by 12.30am

  • CIVIL WEDDINGS
    • We are licensed to hold Civil Weddings from 10 -50 people.

      We have two rooms our Main Dining Room which holds a maximum of 50 people and our Terrace Room which holds a maximum of 25 people.

      To arrange this, the Bride and Groom will have to contact Stroud Register Office direct on .

      The cost for Civil Ceremony Marriage Rooms will be
      DINING ROOM: £600.00
      TERRACE ROOM: £300.00

      When exclusive use is booked these costs are wavered.

  • MENU'S
    • We are delighted to offer a selection of menu's which have been put together by our Head Chef. They are designed for parties numbering between 8-100 people. In order to offer quality and service, we ask that a set menu is choosen for all guests,(see guidelines below) We can of course cater for any dietary requirements within your party as long as it is logged with the Hotel prior to the function. We would require a pre-order of food choices no later than 14 days prior to the date of your function.

  • GUILDELINES
    • 1 - 8 PEOPLE: The full A la carte menu is available on the day.
      8-18 PEOPLE: We would ask that a menu is made up of no more than TWO starters, TWO main courses and TWO desserts.
      18+ PEOPLE: Please SELECT ONE starter, ONE main course, and ONE dessert only for the whole of your party.

      All our private dining menu's offer home-made bread rolls with the first course and accompanied by a selection of fresh vegetables and potatoes with the main course.

  • ROOM HIRE FOR PRIVATE DINING
    • Charges may be applicable if numbers fall below the set number:
      Dining Room (30) £100.00 Terrace Room (18) £50.00

  • CHILDREN
    • Children's menus are available again pre ordering will be necessary as with the above. The function menu can be ordered for children, children under 10 will be charged at half the rate. Children over 10 will be charged for at the full price.

      Highchairs are available on request.

  • WINES
    • We have a comprehensive wine list which will be charged at the prices shown. Please note that some vintages of the wines may have changed and also some wines may be subject to availability. Should you wish to supply your own wine we are happy to accommodate this subject to a minimum corkage charge see prices below:

  • BAR
    • A list of arrival drinks have been drawn up for you to choose from. We are happy for you to choose alternatives. The Hotel bar will be open for people wishing to purchase their own bar drinks. Arrival drinks will be served in the front reception area or on the terrace weather permitting!

  • FLORIST
    • Wedding packages are available from our local florists who are experienced in all aspects of floristry. They offer personal attention to all your flower requirements, making your special day individual to you both. We will happily provide details of these florists upon request.

  • CONFETTI
    • We ask that confetti is not used in the Hotel or grounds.

  • CAKES
    • We can recommend local cake makers in the area if required.

      The hotel is happy for you to use our cake stand and knife free of charge.

  • PAYMENT
    • Payment and final numbers are required 14 day prior to the date of the function. This is the minimum numbers that will be charged for. If the numbers fall below the confirmed number on the day there will be no refund or cash value alternative offered. Any additional charges made on the day, extra guests, wine and bar, are payable on departure. All prices included Vat at 20% at the prevailing rate.

  • CANCELLATION
    • In the event of cancellation the Hotel reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, however, every effort will be made to re-sell the booked date. Please note that deposits are strictly Non Refundable/Non Transferable.
